OK, having seen the movie and read the fir...Hahaha. OK, having seen the movie and read the first book, I can actually weigh in on Keeg's "Twilight" question. The reason girls are swooning is because the story is set up perfectly as both an never-to-be-consummated romance and as a ridiculously over-the-top love story. The two main characters have known each other a month before they’re swearing undying, eternal love for each other. Teenage girls usually get romantic stories in which the love interests decide to date for a while, maybe hit the prom. Something this intense is very appealing, I’m sure.<BR/><BR/>Also the female protagonist is a klutzy, self-deprecating, shy girl. And she gets the hunky guy. How many throngs of girls dream of THAT scenario?<BR/><BR/>Maybe this is too much detail for Mr. K ...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
